Transcripts and exam scores

You must submit all official transcripts or academic records by July 1 and official exam scores by July 15. This includes applicable IGETC or CalGETC certifications and international records.

If you complete courses over the summer, send an additional official transcript that shows your final summer grades by Sept. 1.

Refer to your MyAdmissions Pre-Enrollment Task List Required Admissions Documents for specific details and deadlines.

Transcripts

First-year admits

First-year students must submit official transcripts for all academic history from grades 9-12 and any college or university coursework taken.

Transfer admits

Transfer students must submit official transcripts for all colleges or universities at which you took courses. High school or secondary school transcripts are required to satisfy credit requirements, in some cases.

Official transcript guidelines 

Your documents should follow the guidelines below to be considered an official transcript.

  • Presented on school letterhead or in a specific transcript format developed by the school
  • Signed by a school official, if applicable
  • Includes a school seal or stamp
  • Includes a date of graduation for first-year admits, if applicable
  • Includes a date of graduation for transfer admits, if applicable
  • Lists all courses and final grades for courses taken by academic year
  • Sent directly to UC Davis in an envelope by the school or directly through a listed electronic provider
  • NOT a copy or notarized document

 

Ensure each of the requirements above is met by your document, if your transcript was marked incomplete.

  • First-year students must include graduation date on final 12th grade transcripts
  • Transfer students must include final grades for most recent term

IGETC and CalGETC 

Only full UC IGETC or CalGETC documents are recorded. All IGETC or CalGETC documents are forwarded to your college advising office.

If you have indicated that you will receive an IGETC or CalGETC on your UC application, but have decided otherwise, please indicate that you will no longer be receiving an IGETC or CalGETC on your MyAdmissions Pre-Enrollment Task List.

Submitting official transcripts 

Send official transcripts electronically via Parchment. If your school does not use Parchment or any of the electronic service providers listed below, they need to send a paper copy of your official transcript by mail.

UC Davis does not accept transcripts sent via email as an attachment.

  • Mail a paper copy via US Postal Service sent directly from your school, college or university in a sealed institutional envelope to:

    The school or institution issuing the documents must seal mailed official documents in an envelope. Only officially sealed documents are recorded as received.

Transcripts are due July 1. Confirm with your institution and allow two weeks for processing after each deadline.
